This would allow about 100,000 evacuated residents in Fuzhou to return home earlier than expected, said an official with the headquarters. The Fuhe River which runs through Fuzhou City, Jiangxi, breached its banks on Monday. The repair work started early Friday. On Wednesday, another part of the river dike burst.
