(Sports Network) - The Chicago White Sox go after a third straight win this evening and a two-game sweep of the Cleveland Indians when the American League Central rivals conclude a set from U. Authentic Thurman Thomas Bills Jersey .S. Cellular Field. Jake Peavy kept the White Sox rolling in Wednesdays opener, as he tossed a three-hit shutout to pace Chicago to a 1-0 win. Adam Dunn, who has been mired in a season-long slump, drove in the games only run, as the White Sox won for the eighth time in their last 11 games. Peavy (1-0), in just his second start of the year, struck out eight to record his fifth career shutout and first since last June. This is the healthiest Ive ever been in Chicago and I hope it stays that way, said Peavy. This is what I was brought here to do and hopefully I can keep it going. Justin Masterson (5-2) was equally as impressive for the Indians and surrendered just one run -- in the first frame -- on five hits with eight strikeouts and two walks over eight frames. Both guys threw the ball extremely well tonight, said Cleveland manager Manny Acta. You know, unfortunately for us their guys put a run across and we couldnt. The loss ended a three-game winning streak for the Indians, who still own the leagues best record at 26-14. Hoping to keep the White Sox in the win column this evening will be right- hander Gavin Floyd, who has lost two of his last three starts. Floyd absorbed the loss on Saturday in Oakland, as he yielded five runs and nine hits in four innings, dropping him to 4-3 on the year to go along with a 4.22 ERA. They got a couple big hits against him, Chicago manager Ozzie Guillen said, but he was in trouble from the beginning. Floyd has faced the Indians eight times and is 4-3 with a 5.44 ERA against them. Cleveland, meanwhile, will counter with righty Fausto Carmona, who is 3-3 with a 3.94 ERA, but was annihilated by the White Sox on Opening Day. Carmona lasted just three innings in that one and was pounded for 10 runs and 11 hits. Carmona, who is 7-4 lifetime versus the White Sox, has allowed two runs or less in six of his eight starts since, however, and has pitched to a 2.56 ERA. He did not get a decision on Friday against Seattle, as he surrendered four runs and six hits in 7 2/3 innings. Chicago took two of three from the Indians to open the season and has won nine of the last 11 meetings in the series. Authentic Michael Vick Jersey . Although, the Swedish star hasnt completely ruled out a return to the NHL, either. "It doesnt look too good, but I havent made a 100 per cent decision yet," Forsberg said in a conference call Tuesday. For now, his only on-ice plans are a return to Pepsi Center on Oct. 7 for the Avalanches celebration to mark the 15th anniversary of their 1996 Stanley Cup championship. In all, 26 players and coaches will be in attendance for the reunion, including Patrick Roy, Joe Sakic, Mike Ricci and Claude Lemieux. The Avalanche swept the Florida Panthers in the final that year, giving the state of Colorado its first major pro sports crown in the teams first season in town after relocating from Quebec. "When you win something, you have a special bond, good memories," the 37-year-old Forsberg said. "Im really excited to come and see everybody. Its been a long time since Ive seen a few of them." Forsberg, who won two Stanley Cups titles with Colorado and was the NHLs MVP in 2003, has only played sporadically in recent years because of a bothersome right foot. If he has any qualms with his career, its that he couldnt get that surgically repaired foot quite right and remain playing at the level to which he grew accustomed. "I was battling that problem for so long," Forsberg said. "Im so happy that I got to win a lot of things when I was younger. It would be hard if I didnt get to win the Cup and I was chasing it. "Of course, Im sour that if (retirement) happens, I didnt get to quit on my own terms," he added. "But I cant go around thiinking I had a bad life. Ray Lewis Jersey Authentic. Its been a good hockey life for me anyway." A hockey life thats included a lot of hardware. He also helped the Swedish national team to gold in the Olympics and IIHF World Hockey Championship. The bruising but skilful forward spent nine seasons with the Avalanche before heading to Philadelphia following the NHL lockout in 2004-05. He wore a Flyers sweater for 1 1/2 seasons before being dealt to Nashville. He returned to Denver late in 2007-08, but played in just nine games in the regular season because of a groin injury, his last go-round in the league. Forsberg remains an immensely popular figure in the Mile High City, his No. 21 sweater a big fan favourite. "I dont know if I am popular or not," Forsberg sheepishly said when asked about his widespread fame in Denver. "Its been a long time since Ive been there. Maybe they felt bad for me when I lost my spleen or something." Forsberg had his spleen removed during the Avalanches run to the Stanley Cup in 2001. Something the fans, indeed, havent forgotten. Thats why the ovation for him should be electric. "Really looking forward to seeing all the guys and getting on the ice again there, even if its just skating or walking," Forsberg said. "Great to be back there." As for his post-hockey career, Forsberg hasnt decided on that yet. Maybe golf, maybe even some kind of involvement in hockey. Thats a decision for later. He still hasnt decided if hes ready to hang up the skates, even if he sounds like hes starting to make peace with it. "Its going to be OK when I quit hockey," Forsberg said. "Ive been prepared that I might have to retire." ' ' '
